Get on the Bus’s Sophia Young delivered a keynote presentation at Civil Connect’s inaugural Connect 2026 Conference.

Hosted at the University of Alberta, the conference brought together students, researchers, industry professionals, community organizations, project partners and elected officials to explore how collaborative design can address real community challenges. Sophia spoke about youth leadership, community-based advocacy, and transforming student ideas into projects that create measurable social and environmental impact.
