About Sophia
Sophia Young is an award-winning climate advocate, speaker, and changemaker with a proven track record of turning ideas into policy. A National Youth Climate Action Award recipient, Saskatchewan Junior Citizen of the Year, and YWCA Young Woman of Distinction, Sophia led a successful campaign that made transit free for children under 14 in Regina that spread to Saskatoon—impacting over 50,000 youth. She’s now scaling that impact nationally through Get on the Bus, supporting similar wins in 17 communities. A TEDx speaker and published researcher on youth leadership, Sophia brings energy, insight, and real-world experience to every stage she steps on.
