Next Stop: Change is here to share stories, lessons, and resources for and from youth advocates across Canada. Whether you’re a seasoned pro, just looking to get started, or somewhere in between, Next Stop: Change will give you the tools and confidence you need to create change in your community.

If you care about transit, climate, affordability, accessibility, public services, youth voices, or all of the above, Next Stop: Change is here to help you take the next step.

What We Do 

We turn youth advocacy experience into practical learning.  Sure, youth may be “future leaders,” but many young people are leaders today. We reach out to young advocates taking action in their communities and help uplift them as the thought leaders and changemakers they are.

We highlight advocates’ stories through short videos, uploaded onto our YouTube channel. Through these clips, youth get to see what advocacy can look like in real life, done by people just like them. 

Next, we turn those stories into learning. Youth advocates become youth mentors by sharing the practical lessons behind their work, such as how they identified a goal, built a strategy, and found the support needed to keep going. Everything we create is free, accessible, and open for others to watch, use, and share.

Our Mission

Next Stop: Change makes advocacy easier for young people to understand, start, and sustain. We help youth learn from experienced advocates, giving them a headstart in their own advocacy journey. We’re here so that more youth can create the change they envision in their communities.

Our Vision

We want a Canada where young people are taken seriously as community leaders. Our vision is a national network of youth who can learn from and support each other, along with using their voices to create more accessible, equitable, and climate-friendly communities
