About Marème
Marème is in her second year of law school at the University of Ottawa. She has been deeply involved in student leadership, advocacy, governance, and community engagement throughout her studies. Marème recently completed her term as the president of the Black Student Leaders Association of UOttawa , and was also involved in student governance through the University of Ottawa Students’ Union. She previously worked at the House of Commons and served as vice president of the provincial francophone youth federation (FESFO). She is currently the Director of Advocacy and Representation for the Black Undergraduate Coalition, where she leads the organization’s Advocacy Committee and works to strengthen advocacy efforts for Black students across Canadian post-secondary institutions
